Hello!
I am Kerstin, a self-taught 2D/3D generalist from Austria with experience in game development and 3D animation.
As a former IT generalist, I bring deep technical knowledge along with my creative skills. Therefore, I feel the most at home in a technical artist role, where I can build pipelines and optimise workflows in addition to exploring new techniques and art styles. To further develop my skills as an artist, I currently study information design, filling in the blanks I couldn’t see as a self-taught learner. The very broad curriculum allows me to experience ideas and techniques far outside the digital art space and bring them back with me.
I also co-founded Critter Crew Animations with an amazing group of artists, where we aim to create high-quality animations while also allowing us to experiment and learn new techniques.
My role there spans from asset creation to post-production, developing workflows and pipelines fitted to team-specific skillsets and project timeframes. I am also responsible for 3D visdev as well as mentoring and supervising artists in modelling, lighting and post-production.
Co-founder and technical director of a fully remote animation studio/collective, currently in the build-up phase.
Self-employed, working on various projects as an artist and consultant.
